Arachni Framework v1.0.3 & WebUI v0.5.4 bugfix release

Hey folks,

There’s a new version out and it includes a considerable amount of bugfixes, the most important of which are:

  • Framework v1.0.3
    • Write directories
      • Support for specifying custom write directories, allowing you to set defaults for logs, reports and snapshots in a configuration file.
      • Default error log file is now written under the logs directory instead of the working directory.
    • Scope
      • Fixed bug causing the “–scope-extend-paths” option to be ignored.
    • Session management
      • Login procedures updated to support SSO services by submitting out-of-scope resources.
      • Updated to fall-back to using legacy helpers in the absence of a Browser.
    • Browser
      • Fixed “nil” errors when dealing with unsupported/custom element attributes.
      • Capped maximum waiting period for “setTimeout” callbacks.
      • Fixed issue causing duplicate cookies to be set, which in some cases resulted in failed login operations.
      • Updated to assign custom unique ID attributes to elements which have events but lack IDs.
    • BrowserCluster
      • Updated to spawn browsers in series (instead of in parallel), to fix frozen initializations on low-end systems.
  • WebUI v0.5.4
    • Profiles
      • Added the “HTTP response max-size” option.
      • Fixed bug causing the “HTTP request queue size” option to be ignored.

As you can see there’s nothing too dramatic about these changes, but these bugs were quite common, so please grab the latest version to avoid running into issues.
